An X-Men sort of dynamic, if you will.Īngron: so, for a loyalist Angron to even exist in the first place, two things would need to happen 1) the Emperor, instead of kidnapping him and leaving his comrades to die, actually fights alongside him to overcome the slave-masters of Nuceria and 2) something needs to happen with the Butcher's Nails. Take that enmity to the next level, baby! As a result of this, I picture the Thousand Sons becoming sort of renegade but steadfast defenders of the Imperium, hated for their mysterious powers and links to the Warp, but absolutely commited to guiding humanity in their development as a psychic species. which is why I imagine him being killed by Leman Russ. Magnus: a loyalist Magnus would be a great boon to the Imperium, indeed. However, I'd like to imagine that he would end up assuming a similar role to the one Guilliman has now, leading humanity in the Emperor's absence. Horus: Horus is super tricky to picture never going traitor, given that the near entirety of the Imperium's descent into madness revolves around him. But it's pretty entertaining to imagine the changes in disposition and even appearance of the Primarchs in this scenario, so I'll try my best with a few of the them: I understand that switching who was on which side of the Horus Heresy (hell, it wouldn't even be called the Horus Heresy at this point, given the premise) would imply some serious changes in the lore, outright alternate reality stuff, not even getting into how the legions would be subsequently affected. So, this is just more fun speculation than anything.
